Moora Citrus started out in 2004. the vision was to West Australians with fresh and local citrus for as many months of the year as we could. At the time, only 8% of the citrus consumed in the state was produced here! WA locals can now rely on finding locally grown, Moora Citrus in store for 9 months of the year, from May to February.
Moora Citrus is a fully integrated operation, having grown the rootstock on location, through to the harvesting and our very own, purpose built off site packing facility to pack, market and distribute our citrus.
Moora is the largest regional town between Perth and Geraldton, situated on the Moore River. The orchard, located 12km from the town of Moora, in the WA wheatbelt approximately 180km (2 hours) from Perth, has been developed over a number of years by the Brennan Rural Group and supported by equity partners, the Gillon Group.
Moora Citrus’ focus has always been on flavour and our goal is to constantly deliver fresh, local citrus to West Australians that tastes great. We believe in growing citrus worthy of sharing with your family and friends.
Not only does our fruit taste great, but one Moora citrus orange contains 200% of the recommended daily intake of Vitamin C, as well as fibre and many other beneficial vitamins and antioxidants.
While the focus is always on delivering high quality produce, Moora Citrus has committed to doing so in a sustainable and socially responsible way through innovative practices, such as water conservation, ensuring healthy soils to promote carbon sequestration and using beneficial insects to reduce use of pesticides, ensuring a greener and more environmentally responsible future.
